Teaching RESPECTisms At Home

"Parents often talk about the younger generation as if they didn't have anything to do with it." Haim Ginott

The teaching of core values such as, respect and responsibility form the foundation of a parent’s role in nurturing their children into adulthood. A home which is void of these core values nurtures a young person that has no respect for them self or anyone else. Communicating these core character values in a way that bridges the generation gap can at times be difficult.

The Seven Principles of RESPECTisms has been created as a bridge builder between you and your child. The books & workbooks should be read by both parent/guardian and child, leading to open conversations about the principles in the books, with both parties gaining value lessons.

Adults reading this books will also enjoy the stories and reflect back to their teenage years to consider whether they were like any of the characters. Perhaps, more importantly the stories also serve as harsh reminder of how our actions as parents can and do have a profound effect on the lives of our children.

To compliment the The Seven Principles of RESPECTisms for Teens we have created a ‘Character Building Workbook’ which is aimed at reinforcing the ideas and concepts that are delivered in the book. Young people can be left alone to complete the exercises in the book or it can be used as an opportunity to engage even further with your son or daughter.

To assist you we have also created a Facilitator’s Guide to aid you in developing an understanding of the character building lessons and principles contained in The Seven Principles of RESPECTisms for Teens Character Building Workbook.
